Ari's Wire Gaits

Where her body sits relative to her pole tips at a steady speed along the wire. Pulled, she hangs behind them on poles in tension. Lifted, she flies on her own lift, leads them, and her poles push her from behind like a trolleybus's.

From what speed

Pole angle against ground speed

Degrees from hanging straight down. Above zero her body is ahead of the tips, below zero behind.

The most lift she can make

As a share of her weight, wing form at its steepest useful angle of attack. The lifted gait needs more than 100 %, because poles that push her forward also push her down.
